DeeAnna Merz Nagel is cofounder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Merz Consulting, Inc. DeeAnna is responsible for overall corporate operations and direction. She holds a B.S. in Mental Health and Human Services from Georgia State University and an M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Georgia. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. She has been in the human services field for more than 15 years and has worked for private, nonprofit and faith-based settings providing services to diverse populations in both rural and urban locations. She has been involved in corporate compliance, quality assurance and program development for most of her career. DeeAnna has served as Ethics Chair for the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) chapter boards in Georgia and New York. She is the past President of the International Society for Mental Health Online (ISMHO) and she presents at state, regional and national conferences on topics related to ethics, online counseling, clinical supervision and forensic mental health. DeeAnna is committed to the clinical and ethical integrity of service provision. She understands that the provision of quality clinical services and exceptional clinical supervision are paramount to the company's success and longevity.
Tom Merz is cofounder, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Merz Consulting, Inc. Tom is responsible for developing new business and forming alliances and partnerships to advance corporate goals. He holds a B.A. in Sociology from Georgia State University, an M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Georgia and is a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Since the early 1990’s, Tom has worked in diverse settings within the mental health, developmental disability and family and children fields. His experience includes program start-up and development related to partial hospitalization, day treatment, day habilitation, workforce reintegration and field-based therapy, evaluation and lab services. Tom has participated in state level stakeholder meetings and the design of a statewide delivery system for training DHR contracted developmental disability service providers. He is dedicated to creating work environments which reward staff members, build team unity and deliver the best possible service for each customer and consumer.
Sara Riley is Vice President of Behavioral Services and also serves as a corporate officer. She has been on staff since 2005. Sara is responsible for the overall supervision and implementation of behavioral health programs. She earned a B.S. in Psychology and Business Administration from University of Maryland, Asian Division while living in Misawa, Japan for four years. Upon returning to the United States she attended Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, AK where she received her Masters of Science Counseling Psychology. Sara is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. She obtained extensive clinical, assessment and forensic experience at Alaska's main psychiatric institute serving a culturally diverse population. Sara also worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections as a mental health counselor where she implemented a pet therapy program and supported the growth and development of those incarcerated. She also facilitated trainings for Department of Corrections employees related to the special needs of the mental health community. Sara continues to enjoy personal and professional growth which she believes is directly related to her interaction with trainees, clients and coworkers and of course her many four legged friends!
Kelly Wilson is the Clinical Director and also serves as a corporate officer. She joined Merz Consulting, Inc. in 2003 and is responsible for providing direct supervision of all clinical staff. Kelly has helped to refine and direct work related to family assessments as well as domestic violence, substance abuse, sex offender, parental fitness and developmental evaluations. She also provides limited counseling services to children and families. Kelly received a B.S. degree in Communication Disorders in 2000 and an M.S. degree in Rehabilitation Counseling specializing in Geriatric Studies from Florida State University in 2002. During her master’s degree program she held the position of secretary of the Student Rehabilitation Association and participated in an internship with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Kelly is currently a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Tammy Livingood is Vice President of Corporate Services and has been on staff since 2006. She is responsible for overseeing the development and management of private employer services accounts as well as select government contracts. Tammy earned a B.S. degree in Human Services from Kennesaw State University. She has diverse work experience ranging from positions in an accounting environment to implementation of case management services to fundraising. Tammy has been active in civic activities and is currently serving her second term as an elected board member of the Bartow County School System. She also serves as a board member of the Bartow Education Foundation and the Pettit Environmental Preserve. |
