Distance Credentialed Counselor Certification for Mental Health Professionals
The Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) an affiliate of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) is offering a new certification. This Distance Credentialed Counselor certification is specifically targeted to mental health professionals as the course content has a mental health focus. CCE has chosen ReadyMinds to deliver the new DCC-MH training. ReadyMinds is a leader in the field of Distance Counseling and has provided services to thousands of clients.
The certification is available to mental health professionals who currently hold the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential and to other mental health professionals who are licensed to practice independently including professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists.

TRAINER: DEEANNA MERZ NAGEL, LPC, CRC, DCC has worked in the human services field for 15 years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Georgia and New Jersey, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Distance Credentialed Counselor.
DeeAnna holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University and a Master of Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Georgia. DeeAnna is the President and CEO of Merz Consulting, Inc., an organization that provides counseling, consultation and assessment services including forensic evaluations and online counseling.
DeeAnna is the former Ethics Chair of the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia and the New York Mental Health Counselors Association. She is a Past President of the International Society for Mental Health Online. Her interests in practice and research are related to ethics as applied to distance counseling and supervision as well as forensic mental health.
